Apple rumored to announce integration with Google’s Gemini chatbot this fall

Apple announced a partnership with OpenAI to integrate ChatGPT into iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia.

Apple plans to add integration with more chatbots in the future, including Google's Gemini.

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported that Apple is pursuing a deal with Google and Anthropic for AI integration.

The partnership with Google Gemini is expected to be formalized around the release of Apple Intelligence this fall.

Apple Intelligence on iOS 18 and macOS Sonoma utilizes on-device and online language models for various tasks.

When Apple Intelligence can't answer a query, it will seek permission to consult ChatGPT.

Craig Federighi mentioned Apple's intention to support multiple chatbots for user choice.

Apple Intelligence will debut later in iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia updates, starting with US English and expanding to other languages.
