This Apple, Strawberry, and Banana Smoothie combines the sweet and tangy flavors of apples, strawberries, and bananas with the creamy texture of milk and yogurt.
1 apple, peeled, cored, and chopped 1 banana, peeled 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
1/2 cup plain yogurt (optional) 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional) A handful of ice cubes (optional)
Peel the apple to remove the skin for a smoother texture. Core the apple to remove the seeds and hard center.
Peel the banana and break it into chunks. Bananas add natural sweetness and creaminess to the smoothie.
If using fresh strawberries, wash them thoroughly and remove the green leafy tops. If using frozen strawberries, there's no need to hull them, but you can let them thaw slightly for easier blending.
Place the chopped apple, banana chunks, and strawberries into the blender. Pour in 1 cup of milk. Use any type of milk you prefer, such as almond milk, soy milk, or regular cow s milk.
Add 1/2 cup of plain yogurt if you want a thicker, creamier smoothie with added protein and probiotics.
