Phillies shortstop Trea Turner was activated from the injured list and is set to bat second against the San Diego Padres on Monday night.
Turner missed 38 games due to a strained left hamstring, which he injured while scoring on a passed ball on May 3 against the Giants.
During Turner's absence, Edmundo Sosa filled in at shortstop, batting .277 with five homers and 19 RBIs in 41 games.
The Phillies went 25-13 without Turner and began Monday with an eight-game lead over the Braves in the NL East.
To make room for Turner, the Phillies sent center fielder Johan Rojas to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Rojas batted .235 with two homers and 19 RBIs in 58 games.
Turner encouraged Rojas to "keep working," emphasizing the importance of motivation and talent.
